sadie in marfa tx

Welcome to my website! After several months’ work with my talented web designer Matthew, here it is! I am excited to announce that I have just completed 10 weeks’ work on a new piece called Sadie in Marfa TX, which stars my sister Susie’s dilute orange tabby (she calls her “my little frosted flake”). The plants in the piece are from photographs and watercolor sketches that I made a few years ago on a trip to Marfa Texas. They are a black-spined prickly pear, a yucca, a tree with round cream colored “seeds” and a flowering plant with thorns that I have nick-named “the red thing”. This artwork will make its debut this weekend at the “Official Texas Arts and Crafts Festival” in Kerrville Texas.
