First In-Person Art Festival in 18 months!
I was delighted to be selected to set up my booth the second weekend in May (Mother’s Day weekend) for Tulsa Mayfest 2021!
I was in Booth #50, right in the middle of the show. The weather varied from warm to windy to cool, and we had light rain showers too (but not during show hours)!
Not only was this my first in-person art festival since the pandemic began, it was my first time to participate in Tulsa Mayfest, and I was not disappointed! The crowds were plentiful (and appropriately social-distanced) and, to my delight, there were plenty of cat-lovers and relief print collectors!
My “Chef D’oeuvre” A Study in Green (which I finished just in the nick of time to be the centerpiece of my booth) was extremely well-received! (Follow the link below to find giclée’s in my shop)
Thank you to all of the show goers who gave me so much affirmation about my work! It was such a blessing to have such wonderful feedback after such a long time working alone in my studio during the pandemic. (Of course my husband was his normal encouraging self about the work I create, but it was fun to have some “outsider” comments too!)
I am now energized and ready to be back in the Studio creating work for my upcoming in-person art festivals in the fall! Right now, I just have events in November (see link below).
I am currently working on “L’il Cats” – framed 4″ x 4″ carvings of kitty head shots! Stay tuned!
